Imran Sarwar was the director of design at Rockstar North from circa 2002 until 2019. Sarwar joined Rockstar sometime in mid-2002 as a mission designer. He was credited as a mission designer on Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. After being promoted to associate producer sometime between 2004 and 2008, he was credited in this role on Grand Theft Auto IV, The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony, before being credited as the co-producer and game designer on Grand
